Caitlin Heppner

My extended stay in the humanities at Laurentian University was no accident. What began as a mild interest in theory has grown into a love of philosophy and critical thinking.  The kind of in-depth analysis required for, shall we say, troubling times comes directly out of philosophy. If you want to be taught how to think clearly, think for yourself, understand the world, and your place in it, the philosophy department is where you want to be.  My career began here. I was inspired to continue working in the field of philosophy because of the incredibly talented and supportive faculty in the philosophy department at Laurentian University. Through their mentorship, I was able to move from an undergrad and master’s here at Laurentian to a PhD program, fully prepared for all the challenges the field of philosophy had to throw at me.
